Today, I have been reminded that my Heavenly Father has all the answers I am looking for if only I believe solely in Him. It does no good to pray and then search for other options while waiting on God to answer. God wants us to have continuous faith in Him alone. He loves us and wants us to give all of our worries, stresses, and heartaches to Him but he also wants us to glorify Him through our lifes trials and triumphs!
Being a woman of prayer means praying about all things regardless of how big or small we may think it is.

Day 1: Pray Early and Pray Often
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer. ~ Psalm 19:14 NKJV
In my journey today, I have learned something about myself. When I pray, I tend to pray in generalities. I take for granted that God knows and understands the specifics of my needs and desires. The devotional for today points out that while Gods knows the specifics, sometimes we ourselves do not.
When we pray we should be very specific about what we are praying for and about. We should also trust in His answers to our prayers!

The Challenge
Ok. So I bought a book today at the Family Christian Store. The book is titled "100 Days of Prayer For Women" The Challenge is this:
Read a page from this book each day. If you are already committed to a daily time of worship, this book will greatly enrich that experience. If you are not, (that's me) the simple act of giving God a few minutes each morning will change the direction and quality of your life. (this is a direct exceprt from this book)
I will admit, I am terrible about spending quiet time with my Heavenly Father. I also admit that I struggle with how to pray and what to pray. I worry sometimes about "sounding stupid" to God. I am also guilty of using a chaotic life with three children as a excuse to slack in this area of my walk with Christ.
So, I am going to take the 100 day challenge. I am sure that it will be rewarding and I hope that my thoughts in the days to come will inspire others to take the challenge also.
